What's in a name?
Patina and Pearl encompasses mixing old & new, natural & refined, practical & pretty.
The name itself has a very special meaning to me. Decorating has always been a passion. When my daughter was little, friends and family began asking for my help and encouraged me to start a business. As she neared middle school I began to seriously consider what it would be like to make my hobby into something more. Around that time I had a dream, and like most dreams, some of the details are a little fuzzy, but I saw myself and my daughter (her middle name is Pearl after my paternal grandmother) and remember it being about combining my affinity for all things old and meaningful with newness and beauty. The name was born in that dream, and that's the moment a hobby turned into a business. Patina and Pearl is more than a name, it's a representation of my family, of what was and what will be, and the embodiment of my styling persona.
